With just over two minutes to go in the 3rd Quarter and Salem being penalized 20 yards for intentional grounding on a pass play gone wrong, it’s #21 Luke Owen to the rescue with back to back runs.
First a 16 yard run down the sidelines from the Spartan 37 to the Patriot 47. (see it HERE.)
Then Luke’s 47 yard touchdown run (see it HERE) put Salem up by two touchdowns which created a scoring gap that Patrick Henry would 
never overcome.
The Salem Spartans went on to win the game 56-42 bringing their 2017 season record to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the region.
